Let’s start with the simple definition of “Credibility”. In the dictionary, it states as the definition … “the quality of being trusted and believed in” and/or “the quality of being convincing or believable”… you can immediately see why credibility is so important for the business owner and her/his team. In this part of the chapter, we are going to explore three paradigms of credibility… they are Reliability, Predictability & Trust.

           Reliability is simply the “ability to rely upon”. So, when we say that someone is reliable [hence, in part, credible] we are saying that we can believe that this person will do what they say they will do.

This reliability is an extension of the three levels of integrity we discussed in the previous chapter. This reliability is experienced as much on an intuitive level as it is verified with conduct. In our research, we showed pictures to some of our clients and asked them which ones were more reliable.
