In today's complex society, there are many "Cultures" … only some of which are defined by outward visible indicators...and even then, such old stereotypes are not accurate. As you may know, each culture and each sub-culture has their own set of social mores and rules in which they operate in the world.

These "guidelines" in how certain cultures operate… and factors in buying habits… will often affect what they purchase and when and how they want that purchase to occur. Obviously, we can roughly define certain cultural graphics such as the "Baby-Boomers" or racial or gender graphics … and that only takes us part of the way to an idea of who they might be and what motivates them to purchase.

Some of us have heard the phrase, “birds of a feather flock together”. On many levels, we all tend to "group" and identify with our "tribe". As a general rule, people will tend to gravitate to or attract similar minded people. Whether by age, race, gender, musical appreciation, hobbies or whatever, we all identify with certain cultural groups...and in today's world, we can identify with several distinct cultures or groups at the same time. With this tribal/cultural affinity in mind … along with a clear understanding of demographics, psychographics and tempo-graphics … we have an opportunity to now speak (communicate) in the most appropriate language to the cultural graphics of our target market.
